What is SPF?

Spray polyurethane foam is a two-component liquid system that expands on contact to form a seamless, fully-adhered roofing membrane. Unlike traditional systems that rely on seams, fasteners, and multiple layers, SPF creates a single continuous surface that conforms to any shape — drains, curbs, penetrations, and all. The result is a roof with no seams to fail, no fasteners to back out, and no gaps for water to find.

Six reasons SPF outperforms traditional commercial roofing systems.

01
Highest R-value per inch
R-6.5 to R-7 per inch — better than any other commercial roofing insulation available.
02
Seamless and self-flashing
The foam conforms to every penetration and curb, eliminating the most common leak points on any commercial roof.
03
Lightweight
Typically 40–60 lbs per 100 sq ft — well within structural limits of most commercial buildings.
04
No tear-off required
In most cases SPF applies directly over existing roofing, saving demolition costs and keeping waste out of landfills.
05
Energy Star compliant
White elastomeric topcoat reflects solar heat and reduces cooling loads significantly — Title 24 compliant.
06
Renewable
When the coating wears, recoat rather than replace. A properly maintained SPF roof can last indefinitely.

What to expect from start to finish.

Step 1

Roof inspection and surface preparation

We assess existing conditions, identify any problem areas, and prepare the substrate for proper adhesion.

Step 2

Cleaning and priming

The existing surface is cleaned thoroughly and primed to ensure a strong mechanical bond with the foam.

Step 3

Foam application

Two-component foam is spray-applied in controlled passes to achieve the specified thickness and R-value.

Step 4

Coating application

A white elastomeric coating is applied over the foam for UV protection, weatherproofing, and Energy Star compliance.

Step 5

Final inspection and documentation

We conduct a thorough walkthrough and provide full warranty documentation for your records.

SPF works on virtually any low-slope commercial roof.

Particularly well-suited for buildings where performance, efficiency, and longevity matter most.

Complex penetrations

Buildings with heavy rooftop equipment or complex curb layouts where seam-based systems struggle most.

Avoid tear-off costs

SPF applies over most existing systems in most cases — no demolition required, no landfill waste.

Energy efficiency goals

White elastomeric coating significantly reduces cooling loads and utility costs from day one.

Long-term ownership

Owners who want a renewable system — recoat when needed rather than replace every 10–15 years.
